How flexible is human perception? The multimedia project “FROM 1 TO 10” documents a creative process in the form of a perception experiment. Hypnosis was used as a method to access subconscious images and memories and thereby gain a new, more sensual and intense perception of everyday things. The focus was on letting go of rational, goal-oriented thoughts and letting the process and unbiased perception take effect.
The photographic work guided by this approach moves between associative, subjective visual experiences during and after the trance and linguistic means and physical phenomena of hypnosis.
